Winter 2012 registration is now CLOSED.

 

How do I join the MCS?

You can come to our rehearsal to register. You will need to fill out a form, and pay your registration fee for the semester. If you want to register right away, you can avoid the lineups by filling out your registration form ahead of time. Click here to view and print out a registration form.

Due to rehearsal space limitations, we must cap our registration to 160 members. So if you want to join us, be sure to register as soon as possible!

 

How much does it cost to register?

Registration fee is $30 for students and $50 for non-students. These fees help us cover our immense expenses throughout the semester, including rehearsal and concert venue rentals; the cost of your music score and practice CD; and the cost of hiring our musicians.

 

When and where are the rehearsals?

We rehearse every Wednesday from 7:30pm to 9:30pm. During the first month, registration will start at 7:oopm. Our rehearsal location is 1444 Avenue Union, second floor. The building is located between Boulevard de Maisonneuve and Rue Ste-Catherine, across the street from the McGill Metro station, with a glass door labelled with the number “1444″.

 

Do I have to audition?

Nope!

 

What if I’m not sure if I want to join?

If you want to try it out before committing yourself for the semester, you are still welcome to come to our rehearsal! You can leave a $5 deposit to borrow music for the evening. If decide not to stay with us, we will refund you your $5 deposit when you return the music. If you like what you hear, the deposit will go towards the price of your registration.

 

When is registration for Winter 2012 open until?

Until the first week of February. Last day to register is Wednesday, February 1, 2012. We will start recruiting new singers for the Fall 2012 semester, starting in September. In the mean time, please come to our concert on Sunday April 1, 2012!
